We Inspire Imperial Living And We Do It In Style!

Enter the warm season with some great Aviator Shades!

It’s hot its Summers and the sun is at its best, the temperature keeps going high  so when you get out of your shelf, sunglasses are a must-have accessory for your health. Along with some Skin care!

Here are five reasons you should absolutely wear sunglasses.

1. Helps to avoid Sunburn, as it is possible to sunburn your eyes, which could result in redness, irritation, and a gritty feeling similar to sand in the eyes. Ouch!

2. Helps in maintaining long-term eye health. Over exposure to UV rays can lead to cataracts and glaucoma. Choose sunglasses that screen out 75 to 90 percent of light and block at least 95 percent of UVA and 99 percent UVB radiation. Wearing a hat doesn’t hurt either.

3. Preventing  wrinkles. Sunglasses keep you away from squinting, as squinting can increase the wrinkles around your eyes .

4. Avoiding skin cancer. Sunglasses shield you from potential skin cancer of the eyelids.  Just keep in mind, the sun is even stronger in early morning and late afternoon.

5. Looking cool. Do you really need another reason? It helps you not only feel cool but look cool too!

Understanding these reasons we offer you classic aviator sunglasses. With sleek temples, clear lenses & contemporary frames, these sunglasses will add a stylish dimension to your personality. Top brands, amazing discounts & a vivid range of shapes, choose the one that suits you the best.

SHOE RULES FOR MEN

“You can judge a man’s personality by the shoes he wears”

It’s time to know more about Shoes & enhance your personality, so go ahead and check out some quick tips on how to wear your shoes:

Find a pair of dress shoes that suit your style.

A shiny black tie up or a nice slip on is just good to have on hand. If you do not see yourself as a man who normally wears formal clothing, choose a pair that are timeless classics with simple, very basic styling. On the other hand, if you are often in the public eye wearing a suit, look for a more fashion forward pair. The effort will be noticed by your peers and the women in your life.

Take a cue from your shirt.

If you are in a quandary over what style of shoes to wear with a pair of jeans or casual pants, consider the style of shirt you are wearing; button-down shirts can handle a dressier loafer (except flannel button-downs–they look better paired with a sturdier shoe), a sweater or thick Henley shirt looks nice with thicker soled shoes or boots, and a polo can be paired with athletic shoes or a casual loafer style shoe.

Sandals are a great summer option, minus the socks.

Socks paired with sandals are a complete NO.

Match your belt to your shoes.

This simply makes the outfit look more pulled together, and saves you the trouble of wondering what belt to wear. If you can’t match the belt color-wise, at least keep the style consistent.  A sporty canvas belt works with sporty casual shoes and dressier belts are for dressier shoes.

Dirty shoes are not attractive and reveal more than you want them to.

Hence know how to shine your shoes, and if you can’t do it, find a professional shoe shiner. You’ll get great looking shoes and an interesting conversation.

Not to Forget:

Loafers go with just about anything.

Always choose fit over style.

When in doubt go conservative over edgy.

The darker your suit, the darker your shoes.

Don’t wear sandals if you have gross feet.

2012 Spring – Summer Trends for Men

The Four(fore) Seasons of Fashion

Many a people persevere that there is no such thing as men’s fashion, because the underlying designs haven’t really changed much in last hundred years. A trouser they say is still a trouser with two long holes to slip into and a shirt is still a shirt with a bunch of buttons for fastening and a collar to knot a tie around. What people do not realise is that a transformation is still a change whether black becomes white or dark grey. And it’s these understated but considerable changes that men’s fashion prides in – making men handsomer since the 1900s.

For men, breathing and seducing women in 2012, read on for some pointers on how to dress like the oh-so-handsome-guy-rarely-spotted!

Spring-Summer 2012 trends:

Let’s work upwards…

Footwear

Flip flops- Team them with your favorite pair of jeans rolled up to add “oomph!”wear  into the evenings on those sultry summer days. Keep it classy at meetings and parties. Avoid shiny leatherettes, however “trendy” they seem. Patent leather and patchwork is the thing to go! Oxford tips are a rage; square toes-please get yourself added on to the end of season sales.

Trousers

Think pastels. For those who are willing to experiment with their style this season, add Jodhpuri pants to your style wardrobe. Strictly keep it for semi-formal occasions and pair it up with a neutral jackets. For business meetings, stick to the good chinos, slim fit, and pleats! Large is OUT, slim is in. Nothing like a pair of well cut trousers falling perfect to your silhouette.

Shirts/Jackets

Only one word – Linen. They are light and cool, work equally well at meetings and parties, and are not limited to trousers or jeans.  Wear them with equal ease at a brunch or at a beach! Other options to look out for; soft cotton, yarn dried cotton with a touch of metal for sheen, and any light weight fabrics.

Prints are in and paisley continue to rule. Fresh pastel plaids, black and white monotone abstracts, chic conversationals, ethnic paisleys and small foulard-styled geometrics too. They can be colossal, daring and vibrant, tropical, romantic, stretched out, abstract, and ethnic. From polkas to paisley prints, everything is fair game this year as menswear continue to colour outside of the lines of tradition. Prints should be worn loud and proud, surrounded by neutrals and wardrobe staples. For the conservatives, use them in your accessories!

Shirts shall see two sides- Candy colours, bright hues, and a lot of sunshine will add to the funk while the pastels, neutrals, and powder blues will keep it subtle.

Look of the season

White/powder blue linen shirt with a pair of beige semi formal pants. Put on a Wayfarer and you are ready to make heads turn.

or

A classy polo, flip flops, solid wash jeans and a great non formal belt!

Classy bling for the elegant male

What’s common amongst these lady killers (no no they don’t murder women, they just have killer looks……ok bad PJ) ?

Besides their style, flamboyance, confidence its the way they accessorize themselves, checkout the neat cufflinks on their wrists.

Cufflinks – A symbol of style and status

Cufflinks have been in vogue since a couple of centuries. During the reign of King Louis XIV, when cufflinks were typically made of gold, they were donned by the noble men in France. At that time, they were not mere fashion statements; cufflinks were status symbols.

Today also they are worn by elite oscar winning celebs like Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, George Clooney to name a few.

No wonder chics dig them!!

When & where to wear different type of Cufflinks?

Cufflinks should only be worn with shirts with double cuffs, also known as French cuffs.

Cufflinks are one of those few pieces of accessories that men can use to distinguish themselves from others. Today’s cufflinks possess varied designs to choose from, go ahead and check them.

Golden Cufflinks

Golden Cufflinks can be paired with a Tuxedo or shades of brown such as a tan colored suit.  Besides that brown dress shoes or brown belt in your clothing is an excellent combination with the gold pieces of jewelry.

Silver Cufflinks

Silver cufflinks are a classic. Buy them plain or studded with stone/design  depending on your personality, the occasion and your taste.  They go with just about anything and are the most versatile accessory around.

Colored Cufflinks

While wearing a pair of colored cufflinks make sure that the color shade in it is also found in other pieces of your clothing. Whether it is your necktie, or a fine strip pattern on your shirt, in short a similar color shade MUST be present.

For example a blue colored cufflink set would go well with a light blue dress shirt.

Please avoid too many contradicting colors as it will make you look like more of a parrot than a well-dressed man.

How to wear Cufflinks?

Step by step explanation on how to wear cufflinks the right way:

1. Put on a dress shirt with French (or Double) cuffs.

2. Fold the cuffs back, making sure that they form a neat and even line at the end of the sleeves.

3. Hold the two open edges of the shirt cuff together.

4. Two sides of the cuff should be laid flat against each other.

5. Align the holes so the cufflinks can be inserted with ease.

6. Insert the cufflinks into the hole & make it sure that the decorative part of the cufflink should be facing outwards.

Did you know?

1. Cufflinks were originally introduced as an alternative to using ribbon and string for tying cuffs together.

2. There is a Cufflink museum based in New Hampshire, USA.

3. The most expensive cufflinks ever were sold at auction for $440,000 in 1987.

4. They were previously given as a gift from Wallis Simpson to her future husband soon to be King Edward VIII.

Color / material / stone / style of cufflinks are a matter of personal taste, but the bottom line is that your choice of cufflinks should be consistent with your dress and the occasion.

Berry Fans Rejoice

Are you one of the BlackBerry fans? Then definitely you must be having a lot to do, be it on the go or not. There are some of the apps which can definitely help you make your life simpler. Here is our list of few cool apps!

Nogago Outdoor GPS

With one of the genuine reviews, Nogago Outdoor GPS BlackBerry app has the ability for offline  navigation to work into the system. Maps of any place on the world can be downloaded from their site  and then can be used while navigating through any area without relying on internet connection.
Though these days there is sufficient amount of network coverage and you may not feel much relevance  of this app, but it works best while visiting far remote areas anywhere in the world and where it’s hard  to get any network area coverage. Thus also help save on data roaming fees and giving the benefit of  GPS at the same time.

Color ID, Customization of your Caller ID

Caller ID is a basic way of knowing who is calling. Customized selection of ringtones is probably a cooler way of knowing the same but what’s in rage is the Color ID. The cutting edge Color ID is a free app for BlackBerry, the newest way for people to keep a track as to who is calling. On being called, texted or e-mailed, there is a LED flashing which goes on before the call is acknowledged. Once this Color ID app is installed all you need to do is assign custom colors to the different LED Lights that are present on your device. These will be different based on the different people that call, allowing you to assign specific colors to different individuals and know immediately when someone important is trying to contact you based on the color that the LED lights emit.

Ward off  Unwanted calls with BuzzOff

BuzzOff is a quite a useful call block application for BlabkBerry. It doesn’t just block the incoming calls, but also uses a pick- up and hang-up type of operation. This way the caller is unable to even leave a voice mail. It sends a busy tone when a call comes from an unwanted number. The numbers you want to block can be set from the message log or address book or from a recently received call record. This application also lets the user mark and block numbers from a certain series such as 1800, 1877 etc. It can also match the last three or 10 digits to ensure that no calls from any particular location are repeated.

So BlackBerry users download your favorite app and enjoy these awesome apps!

Menswear Trends Autumn Winter 2011-12

One pattern that could not stop being mentioned in fashion weeks this new season is plaid. Like the continuous popularity of the velvet jackets, plaid has been a recurrent trend in menswear during the last couple of years and is showing no sign of abating.

Plaid Trend

Nevertheless, over the past two or three years plaid has been shown as the embodiment of a rugged masculinity in the form of a grungy look or hunting or lumber jackets, for the autumn/winter of 2011/12, designers have extended the signification of plaid into the realm of luxury and ancestry. Whether in the form of tartan, houndstooth or Prince of Wales, plaid has been espoused as the avatar of aristocratic descent and heritage through the language of garments.

With its impeccable dominance on the runway shows in Milan, Paris and New York and with its prominence on the high street fashion brands, this is one pattern that is likely to feature more prominently than ever in mens wardrobes this season and in coming years.

Fast Facts for Formula 1

Driving in F1 championship is quite a demanding task, which requires rigorous training to acquire the required skills and fitness. Here are few interesting facts related to F1.

Formula1 Grand Prix

  • An average F1 driver looses about 4kgs of weight after just one race due to the prolonged exposure to high G forces and temperatures for little over an hour (Yeah thats right!!!)
  • F1 driver experiences 3-5 G force in a race, equal to the G force experienced by astronauts.
  • To get inside the car the drivers have to remove the steering wheel. A latch behind the steering wheel releases it from the column.
  • During the race, the drivers can lose on average 2 to 3 litres of water.
  • The total spending of all eleven teams in 2006 was estimated at $2.9 billion US. This was broken down as follows: Toyota $418.5 million, Ferrari $406.5 m, McLaren $402 m, Honda $380.5 m, BMW Sauber $355 m, Renault $324 m, Red Bull $252 m, Williams $195.5 m, Midland F1/Spyker-MF1 $120 m, Toro Rosso $75 m, and Super Aguri $57 million. (50% of team budget goes for engine development).
  • Without aerodynamic downforce, racing cars have sufficient power to fly once they exceed 160 kph.
  • F1 car can go from 0 to 160 kph AND back to 0 in FOUR seconds.
  • The refuelers used in F1 can supply 12 liters of fuel per second. This means it would take just 4 seconds to fill the tank of an average 50 liter family car.
  • F1 car is made up of 80,000 components, if it were assembled 99.9% correctly; it would still start the race with 80 things wrong.
